I wanted to let you know about Emory Law’s juris master degree – a 30-credit-hour master degree for non-lawyers –  and especially our concentrations in Intellectual Property and Health Law.

We’ve recently graduated a Georgia Tech BME student from our juris master program, and she indicated her juris master degree (creating her own customized course of study by selecting courses from our Intellectual Property and Health Law concentrations) was instrumental in obtaining a position in which to launch her career (see below for her comments when asking for a job reference – she did get the position as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist with Qfix, a medical device company near Philadelphia).

Needless to say, I would be greatly honored to have your help in taking this next step in my career, both for this position and moving forward for positions at other companies which have expressed interest in me. I credit you and the Juris Master Program for that interest, including the position at hand. The reactions in interviews when I have spoken about my experiences in the JM program have been overwhelmingly positive, and your advisement and guidance throughout my time at Emory Law has done an incredible amount for my personal and professional development. For that, I am extremely appreciative.

I wonder if some of your BME students might be interested in the juris master degree as well. I would be happy to meet with you and/or your students to discuss further, send some juris master brochures, and/or provide additional information. I am glad to make myself available whenever is good for you.  As a note, we do offer tuition scholarships to our Emory students.

My thanks for your consideration!

Lynn
